Q: Do Semester staff cost more than my own staff?

A: At 1st glance you may think so. At Semester we give you 1 simple Daily charge rate which is then subject to National Insurance contributions and VAT.

Your own personnel costs for your permanent Teachers includes their wages, national insurance, holiday pay, sick pay, recruitment advertising, police checks, health checks, professional training and development and other costs.

At Semester a daily rate is all you have to pay and we arrange everything else. We are very happy to negotiate with you, so if you have a budget that you must strictly keep within tell us and we will work with you accordingly.

Q: Will Semester Teachers be as reliable as my own employees?

A: Yes. Our Teachers are all instructed to arrive at their placement early. If for any reason they know they will be late or are likely to not arrive due to illness they are requested to contact us at the earliest opportunity so as we are able to make arrangements to get a replacement so as YOU are not inconvenienced in any way. We will always let you know what is going on too!

At Semester we run an excellent Quality Control programme. This is for the benefit of you as an employer but also for the Teachers. We will visit Teachers on regular basis in their place of work, we will talk to you on a regular basis to ensure you are happy with their Teaching and we send you regular progress reports to complete so we can monitor their progress.

Q: Can we get hold of you outside office hours?

A: Yes

Q: Will Semester Teachers uphold our own standards of Teaching?

A: We pride ourselves on the quality of our Teachers. All of our candidates are fully vetted, reference checked and police checked. With all the candidate's certificates and qualifications verified.

It is our aim to ensure the Teachers we provide for you fit into your school with no hassle to you. So we complete all the various levels of checks to ensure that those Teachers coming to you are of the highest quality.

If you do have a complaint with regards to us as an agency or regarding a member of staff talk to us immediately and we will do EVERYTHING possible to resolve the issue.
